Plumbing service for Asheville homes
Most of our work is in homes: a kitchen sink that won't drain, a water heater that stopped heating, a toilet that keeps running, or a leak under a cabinet. We diagnose the problem, explain what we found in plain terms, and give you a price before any work begins.
Our trucks carry common repair parts, so many jobs are finished in a single visit.
What we handle
Residential services include drain cleaning, water heater repair and replacement, sewer and water line work, gas piping, pipe repair and repiping, fixture installation and repair, and water treatment. If you already know what you need, the service pages linked below have more detail. If you don't, call and describe the problem, and we will tell you the next step.
Water pressure in a hilly city
Asheville's water system spans a wide range of elevations and dozens of pressure zones, so some homes receive water at much higher pressure than their plumbing needs. High pressure wears out faucets, toilet valves, water heaters, and supply lines faster, and it can cause banging pipes.
We test your water pressure and install or replace pressure-reducing valves and expansion tanks to bring it into a safe range. If your pressure is low instead, the cause is often corroded galvanized pipe, which we can repair or replace.
Older homes and new homeowners
Asheville has many older homes, and a lot of them still have original galvanized supply lines, cast-iron drains, or clay sewer lines. These materials were standard when the houses were built, but many are now at or past the end of their service life. We know what to look for, and we can tell you which issues need attention now and which can wait.
If you just bought a home and the inspection report flagged plumbing items, have the report ready when you call. It helps us plan the visit and price the work accurately.
